 Man time flies, I can’t believe I’m graduating shortly but I still feel like I didn’t share enough so I’m gonna talk about my favorite film of all time (for now) Shin Ultraman. Ultraman has been a big part of growing up for me and for most kids who lived in the south East Asian country’s. Ultraman is a special affects show about a giant who fought against monsters to keep the peace of earth while being an alien itself. Believe it or not Ultraman has inspired many pop culture, to names a few the likes of power rangers only exist because of Ultraman, the alien waybig from Ben 10 is inspired by Ultraman, and Pokémon, yes the video game, is inspired by Ultraman. The whole deal of sending Pokemon to battle is based on the capsule monster from ultraseven (the second entry of the ultra series). There’s many more that I couldn’t share here but basically Ultraman is quite the big deal, especially in Asia Ultraman is like the Superman for us.   Well, we're here, the last few days of high school. It's been quite the ride, I wouldn't have thought I'd get this far. To sum up the current situation we have here, we started strong in the first semester and completely fumbled in the second semester. It's sort our fault but not at the same time. And now we're barely surviving but we clutch up. So now life is settling down, finally done with school and now we're turning into a full-fledged young adult in a year. Many things happened during high school but not many are worth mentioning. That doesn't mean there's nothing to mention though. We somehow got into the NHS but quit shortly due to scheduling issues, we got our first job at McDonald's and we got like 4 months out of it before the place shut down. Although we couldn't watch Shin Ultraman on the big screen we still got the chance to watch it, it was worth the wait. Oh yeah that goal we had when we started collecting model kits and ac...

  Old mighty bridge  Painted crimson by the fallen  As splashes run under it Chatter connect above it Explanation: This is an image of the Ampera bridge in Indonesia, Palembang, the city I was born in. The bridge was built in 1960 and the fund came from the Japanese war reparation. Since Indonesia was colonized by Japan for a period of time you could argue that the people fell because it inspired the color. I grew up crossing this bridge many times since my mom worked across the mainland so I think this would be a good subject for my poem. So "old mighty bridge" is referencing the bridge itself since it's old and has been standing for quite some time now. "Painted crimson by the fallen" referencing the name "Ampera" which is a shorter version of "Amanat Penderitaan Rakyat" which roughly translates to the mandate of people's suffering.  So we started trying to make a poem in the style of someth something William Williams style, which is a very simple poem that include the five senses. It was harder than I expected but still fun to make. 

 This poem is hilarious. I just like imagining this dude eat his friend plum and was like I eat your plum what’re you gonna do about it??? Like the audacity of this man (maybe) to left a smug note basically saying he ate the plum. Hilarious 

 A poem by someth something William Williams, I’m not gonna sugarcoat this, this poem just seems like random notes. Like it was so random I don’t even know how it have significant enough affect to be taught in school. Of course after going over it I get how this is a good study material but it’s still surprise me how simple this thing is.

 Today I stay home because I rather not stay in 5th period for 2-3 hours straight doing nothing. So I’m just gonna share some pictures I got from Indonesia 

 So today I basically just listen to two different presentations. It give a little insight on how folks here view other cultures way of living. Being a foreigner myself I grew up with these similar experiences to the story and still not use on how people here view things. So to me it’s a good insight.

 Well today is very stressful because I just got back from an almost a month vacation and I’m drop to a project that I know nothing of. Well I did read the short story really quick so I could at least contribute to the project. 

 Today we continue reading from page 122-135. This chapter stood out to me because it shows some very much needed information about kien past family, lover, and living arrangements. Afterwards we were assigned to do a project, I picked the song because to me music is one of the easiest way to learn about a new culture that.

 Today and yesterday we read throughout 108-122 of the sorrow of war and we were assigned to picked 5 quotes and analyzed them. I somewhat enjoyed this because it does got me thinking further into the lore of the story it also got me stuck sometimes, like how am I supposed to interpret my Indonesian inner monologue to English words, first world problems I know, overall I enjoy this very much. 

 

 Today we got to read pages 16-25 basically Kien went to the field he managed to scare some soldiers by being the “Sorrowful Spirit” and got back getting a raise while his platoon mate Can was nervous of his mom condition and decided to deserted his section a few weeks(?) later they found his corpse two hours away and once they buried him Can mother sent a letter. Kien sad he cried and pray for Can lost soul. Overall a good read and I got the relief that I don’t need to do the chrome book audit… man I was scared I need to pay 200 bucks 

 Today we talk about our work yesterday, I didn’t talk much because it is a topic that I’m not very fond of and since I have a relatively dark and edgy humor I tried my hardest not to smile when a joke comes into my mind. Eventually we finished our discussion and started reading the yellow wallpaper. We only got into the second entry but it is truly interesting 

 Yep that’s all we do today, some worksheets 

 On Monday and Tuesday we did a little worksheet to start our worksheet on the film the Journey to school  All we did is wrote down some facts about the country represented in the film 

 We got the chance to watch a film of how other kids go to school in a different country  It really put to perspective how lucky we are to not face challenges like them on the way to school 

We do the assignment that we’ve been doing since Monday and it was interesting to say the least. And for some reason a lot of people pronounce it as “antatoho” which is odd it’s pronounced “antoho”  In   

 I planned to get into engineering in aviation. Like that’s all I have, I don’t usually make plans. I go with the flow most of the time and it seems to work well enough. Like yes I could have planned a few things earlier but hey moving to the US wasn’t planned either. My mom just decided one day that hey let’s get out of this island nation and move to the nation of capitalism. I have no issue so we just went and now I’m here writing prompts to better my grades.

 My pants, specifically the new sweatpants my mom got me. Apparently my mom thought that I , a 191 pound 18 years old boy is wearing a slim fit L for my pants. Well unfortunately for me I don’t wear L, I wear XL and it’s not even slim fit. Like if I were to use those pants she got me, oh boy the whole school will see the curve of my bottoms like it’s a car crash. I have no idea how she comes to the conclusion that I’m a petite slimed man while in reality I’m a little bit overweight and need breathing room for my legs.
