Letter to your future self

Well, we're here, the last few days of high school. It's been quite the ride, I wouldn't have thought I'd get this far. To sum up the current situation we have here, we started strong in the first semester and completely fumbled in the second semester. It's sort our fault but not at the same time. And now we're barely surviving but we clutch up. So now life is settling down, finally done with school and now we're turning into a full-fledged young adult in a year.

Many things happened during high school but not many are worth mentioning. That doesn't mean there's nothing to mention though. We somehow got into the NHS but quit shortly due to scheduling issues, we got our first job at McDonald's and we got like 4 months out of it before the place shut down. Although we couldn't watch Shin Ultraman on the big screen we still got the chance to watch it, it was worth the wait. Oh yeah that goal we had when we started collecting model kits and action figures, yeah that goal, well I'm happy to tell you that we are running out of space for them, I hope our younger selves are happy with that.

All that is fun and all but of course, I'm gonna tell you to get your crap together, whenever you read this in the future just take it slow, don't overthink stuff just take in the current situation and take it one step at a time, can't rush life man there are no second chances. Also don't work hard Just work smart and remember that sometimes things that might be junk could be the answers to your problems.

Enough of the future for me now. I'm simply afraid of the future, living situation, finances, and work. Will I be happy? Will I have a family or live my life with cats? That stuff scares me. Death?

Not really to be honest I've come to terms with it all that I'm afraid of is the pain that might come along with it.

Quick shout out to my friends: Roselyn, Nate, Andrea, Ruby, Amy, Laurence, Abby, Osiel, Gerald, Dave, Sajad, and more that I couldn't mention. The teachers who've inspired me are Ms. Tate, Mr. Bokelman, Dr. V, Madame Blackwood, Ms. Silber, Mr. Reace, and Mrs. Anderson.

Everyone here has made my life a little bit easier.

In conclusion, these 3 years in Lakeside have been a blast, stay true to yourself and remember those who left, don't forget where you came from and what you fight for because one day you'll make it back home and there's where you'll live the rest of your life. Promise me that future me, Well I wish you luck from here on out, it's up to you.
