 Today we continue reading from page 122-135. This chapter stood out to me because it shows some very much needed information about kien past family, lover, and living arrangements. Afterwards we were assigned to do a project, I picked the song because to me music is one of the easiest way to learn about a new culture that.

 Today and yesterday we read throughout 108-122 of the sorrow of war and we were assigned to picked 5 quotes and analyzed them. I somewhat enjoyed this because it does got me thinking further into the lore of the story it also got me stuck sometimes, like how am I supposed to interpret my Indonesian inner monologue to English words, first world problems I know, overall I enjoy this very much. 

 

 Today we got to read pages 16-25 basically Kien went to the field he managed to scare some soldiers by being the “Sorrowful Spirit” and got back getting a raise while his platoon mate Can was nervous of his mom condition and decided to deserted his section a few weeks(?) later they found his corpse two hours away and once they buried him Can mother sent a letter. Kien sad he cried and pray for Can lost soul. Overall a good read and I got the relief that I don’t need to do the chrome book audit… man I was scared I need to pay 200 bucks
