 Today we learned more about writing our essay, we wrote down some vocabulary words and learned about formal and informal language in writings and when is it appropriate to use. I need to wrap my head around the vocab more since I’m not the best at memorizing these words Overall feel fulfilling and I’m still riding on 4 hours sleep and I’m exhausted 

 Today we took the test on fences, 20 questions is easy enough for me so I didn’t struggle and finished early. I got to interview Mr. Rease about something in my journalism class today so I’m happy about that. Overall today was tiring for me and I hope tomorrow is better 

 Yesterday we finish reading the play “Fences” and to be honest I enjoy it a lot more than I expected, personally I’m more of a comic guy compare to novels but I enjoyed reading the play. And that led to today where we learn how to write a literary essay, tips and tricks, strategies, and basically the basics. Overall it was a fulfilling day even though I was mostly half asleep throughout the day

 Today we finished the first act of Fences together in class. Some of us get to read I got a short part as the narrator near the end which really I like. For the most part the story so far is getting interesting, like the part when Troy recall his past, I enjoyed it also in the middle of the story I got a small flashback of the film (apparently I’ve watched it somewhere before) .  Overall today is a good day to end that act and I’m glad I managed to come in to school, also Mr. Rease is back so that’s a plus.

 Today we answer a worksheet about Fences. Mr. Rease is not here today so it’s a little odd but we manage, the sub is great I got her like a few times ago overall 10/10 would sub again.  I’m not sure about the questions though I’m still catching up with the book itself so some of these questions I turn to my classmates because I have no idea what’s going on. Overall this all we did and I hope Mr. Rease be back soon. 

 Today we answers some questions about a word that offends me, after that we started reading the poem Incident by Countee Cullen. The poem is about how a single word could hold such power and impact somebody mood, after that we build on that topic and answer the second question which is basically what we will do in that moment and continue the story. So I learn words are powerful and be wise in using them because really it could ruined someone or your life in a blink of an eye. Overall it’s a fun subject, I could tell some story about my past in a different country, hear some interesting pov, and to write some story I really enjoyed it.

 Today Mr. Rease is introducing the class rules to the new kids and giving the quiz to the kids who weren’t here in Friday. I was free the whole class 10/10 class experience.

 We took a 24 multiple choice quiz about the Rockpile today, some of the questions got me thinking for a bit, not to mention that I’m answering them purely based on Wednesday review. I hope I got all of the questions correctly.

 On Wednesday we answered questions about the Rockpile, we were preparing for the quiz that’s going to take place on Friday. While preparing we got to talk deeper about the meaning behind the story and how it reflects life back then.

 On Monday we started reading the Rockpile. It was an interesting story and got me hooked right away, I remember being excited to finish it on Tuesday.
